5. How We Disclose Information
We may disclose information to:
Service Providers
Vendors and contractors that help us provide infrastructure, hosting, storage, security, authentication, analytics, customer support, communications, payment processing, model or software services, and related operational functions. They may process information on our behalf subject to contractual or other applicable restrictions.
Affiliates
Our current or future parent companies, subsidiaries, and affiliates for purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy.
Business Transactions
Parties involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, due diligence process, or similar corporate transaction, subject to applicable law.
Legal and Safety Reasons
Government authorities, regulators, courts, law enforcement, or other parties when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, legal process, or is necessary to protect rights, safety, security, property, or the integrity of the Service.
At Your Direction
Third parties when you request or authorize us to disclose information.
6. Sale and Targeted Advertising
As of the Effective Date, Elytron does not sell personal information for monetary consideration and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those concepts are defined under applicable U.S. state privacy laws.
Elytron does not sell individual uploaded FASTA files as standalone genomic datasets.
If these practices materially change, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any notices or choices required by applicable law.
7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service and, with your permission, to understand how it is used.
Essential cookies
These cookies are necessary to authenticate users, maintain sessions, protect forms from forgery, and remember your cookie choice. They do not require consent, and the Service cannot work without them.
Analytics cookies (optional)
With your permission only, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, on our website and in the ElyChat application to understand how the Service is used and to improve it. If you accept, Google Analytics sets first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier in your browser, which can last up to two years, and receives information such as the pages and features you use (for example, that a genome upload was started or that a question was sent), your approximate location, your device and browser, and the page that referred you to the Service. Google processes this information on our behalf and under its own terms and privacy policy.
We configure the integration so that what you write or name is not sent to Google. We do not send the text of your questions or of the answers, your sequence files or their names, the names of your genomes or conversations, your email address, or account or record identifiers. The addresses of the pages you visit are sent without query strings and without identifiers.
Analytics cookies are off until you accept them. You can accept, reject, or change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link on the website, in the sign-in and registration pages, and in the application. A Global Privacy Control signal sent by your browser is treated as a rejection. If you withdraw your consent, we stop sending analytics information and remove the Google Analytics cookies from your browser.
Browser settings may also allow you to block or delete cookies, although doing so may prevent parts of the Service from functioning correctly.
8. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the Service, maintain security, satisfy contractual obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, comply with law, and support legitimate research and development activities permitted under the Terms.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, account status, contractual commitments, legal obligations, backup cycles, and operational requirements.
When original User Content is deleted, residual copies may remain temporarily in backups or disaster-recovery systems. Aggregated, transformed, statistical, model-derived, or de-identified information may be retained for longer periods or indefinitely to the extent permitted by law and the Terms.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
However, no online service, transmission method, storage system, software platform, or security measure can guarantee absolute security. You use the Service and transmit information at your own risk and are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of your data.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and whether an applicable privacy law covers Elytron or the relevant processing, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of certain personal information, and to exercise other rights provided by applicable law.
You may submit a privacy request to info@elytronbiotech.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request and may deny or limit requests where permitted by law.

Delaware residents may also contact the Delaware Department of Justice regarding applicable privacy rights.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising rights provided by applicable privacy law.
11. California Privacy Information
If the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, applies to Elytron’s processing of your personal information, California residents may have rights including access, deletion, correction, information about collection and disclosure practices, and rights concerning sale or sharing of personal information, subject to statutory exceptions and applicability requirements.
As stated above, as of the Effective Date, Elytron does not sell personal information for monetary consideration and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Requests may be submitted to info@elytronbiotech.com.
12. International Users and Cross-Border Processing
Elytron is a United States company. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in the United States and other countries where Elytron or its service providers operate.
Data-protection laws in those jurisdictions may differ from the laws where you live. Where required, Elytron will use legally recognized mechanisms for cross-border transfers.
