How to cite Elychat
Elychat is developed by Lucas Servi at Elytron Biotech. If it helped your research, please cite it in your paper, thesis or report. Thank you: it helps us keep improving it for the research community.
Cite Elychat
Cite Elychat as software, with the date you used it:
Servi, L. (2026). Elychat: conversational genome analysis [Web application]. Elytron Biotech. https://www.elychat.com. Accessed YYYY-MM-DD.
BibTeX:

Describing the methods
You can adapt this paragraph for your Methods section:
Genome assemblies were analysed with Elychat (Servi, 2026; Elytron Biotech; https://www.elychat.com; accessed YYYY-MM-DD). The platform performed automated gene annotation, taxonomic identification and biosynthetic gene cluster prediction, with predicted clusters compared against the MIBiG database of characterised clusters. Results were explored in the Elychat genome viewer and through its AI assistant, and the findings reported here were checked against the underlying annotations.
For the exact tools, versions and parameters behind your results, write to info@elytronbiotech.com with the name of your genome and the date of the analysis, and we will send you the details.
Also cite the databases
Elychat's results draw on public reference databases. When your findings rely on them, please cite them too, following each resource's own citation guidance:
- MIBiG, for known biosynthetic gene clusters;
- NCBI, for reference genomes and taxonomy;
- KEGG, for pathways and functional categories.
About AI answers
Answers from Elychat's AI assistant can be wrong. Before you publish a statement that came from a conversation, check it against the annotations, the genome viewer and the primary literature, and cite those sources rather than the chat. See the AI & Bioinformatics Disclaimer.
